“This is in Joan’s House 1964. We are pictured willing the power Alex with the sword, the witches using there athame’s. The witches in this photograph are from the first coven in Chorlton cum Hardy. The picture on the altar is one of Alex’s paintings that constantly changed, each persons’ interpretation being different; At this stage, it was a face. Over the next few months, the picture became increasingly scary eventually becoming the picture of chaos.” – Maxine Sanders. 2018.
