    Description

A photograph of Alex & Maxine Sanders in their Manchester home in 1965 showing the casting of a circle. Poetic license is used in this posed picture as the circle would not have usually been cast in this manner.

The sash of Maxine’s white robe was blue; she is believed to be casting with the Magician’s Sword which was later stolen from the 15 Clanricarde Gardens flat in London in the early 70s.

“This is yet another picture taken in my home showing the casting of the circle. Poetic license is used in this posed picture as the circle would not usually be cast in this manner. However it does show that we worked both naked and robed.

I use only first names although they were each known publicly for their work as witches.

Nick, John, Gordon, Maxine and Alex, Kieth, Cynthia. Apart from Nick and John, witches originally from the Salford coven.
